The Create flow is the cleanest we have used: choose Female, Male or Trans, pick Realistic or Anime, then walk a short wizard for body, face, personality, backstory and voice. It takes under two minutes to end up with a companion that is yours and appears in My AI. You can publish your creation to the community Feed if you want, or keep it private.

The Feed and Community layers matter more than they look. Because other users publish characters and images, the library grows constantly — you always have something new to open, which is exactly what keeps retention high on this type of product.

Character customization covers appearance (body type, ethnicity, hair, eyes, age presentation, outfit style), personality archetype, backstory, relationship framing and voice. You can also edit a character after creation, which several competitors still do not allow without rebuilding from scratch.

The one gap: there is no deep memory-editor UI where you can hand-write persistent facts in a structured way. Memory is handled automatically rather than exposed as an editable field, so power users who like to curate a companion's canon have less control than on Nomi.

Image generation is fast and stylistically consistent — a character you built in Realistic mode keeps her face across generations far better than early 2024-era tools. Anime output is strong too, with clean linework rather than the smeared hands and eyes that plague cheaper generators.

Video is short-form and clearly first-generation, but it works, and included minutes come bundled with the subscription rather than sold as a separate add-on. Deluxe tiers unlock larger monthly allowances of Dream Coins, images, voice minutes and videos.

Within a session, memory is excellent: the model tracks names, earlier scene details and emotional beats without you re-explaining. Across sessions it retains the important relationship context but will sometimes soften small specifics from weeks earlier.

For casual and NSFW roleplay this is more than sufficient. If your priority is a long-term companion who remembers your birthday, your job and last month's argument with perfect fidelity, a memory-first platform such as Nomi still has the edge.
